Congratulations! VMware knows that getting married is a very exciting time and provides marriage leave, in accordance with statutory requirements, so you can take time to enjoy your wedding.
VMware provides eight (8) paid days of Marriage Leave. Marriage Leave has to be taken within 3 months commencing from ten days prior to the wedding day. With the prior approval of your manager you may extend this period to one year instead. Any period beyond 8 days will be unpaid. Your marriage registration date must be within your employment with VMware.
For the above paid absence, any balance not utilized cannot be carried forward to the following calendar year.
Scheduling Marriage Leave
- Discuss your time off request with your manager.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Marriage Leave time in Workday [VMware network access required] under time off type Marriage Time Off.
