Flexible Benefits
VMware provides flexible healthcare benefits through Integrated Health Plans (IHP) Singapore.
Eligibility
All regular full-time employees up to retirement, and their eligible dependents:
- Legal spouse; and/or
- Unmarried and unemployed dependent child(ren) up to age of 25

Exclusions
- Advance payment for services valid to use beyond current calendar year.
- Plastic surgery, cosmetic procedures and/ or treatment for cosmetic purposes, itemized expenses not related to diagnosis and/or valid prescription.
- Self-requested medical services and/or treatments deemed not medically necessary; lifestyle medication, abortion, circumcision, etc.
- OTC medication, health supplement and/or consumer products; medicated soap/lotion and other derma products, unless prescribed by a registered healthcare professional.
- Any expenses arising out of self-inflicted injury or illness caused by misconduct, unjustifiable hazards, or provoked assault received by participating in riots or unlawful acts.

Reimbursement Process
- You may submit your out-of-pocket expenses through the IHP eClaim Portal
- Period of expense should fall within current calendar year and must be submitted before last working day of January the following year to qualify for reimbursement.
- Approved claims will be reimbursed in the next month’s payroll cycle accordingly.
Coverage Begins
You and your eligible dependents are automatically enrolled in the flexible benefits plan from your date of hire. Coverage will begin on your first day of active work as a VMware employee.
Making Changes
For existing employees, a qualified life event allows you to make changes to your flexible benefits plan, mid-year. A qualified life event may include:
- Marriage or Domestic Partnership
- Birth or Adoption
- Divorce or Separation
- Loss of a Loved One
- A dependent becoming eligible or ineligible for coverage
If you experience a qualified life event, you have 30 days from the date of the event to update the information in Workday [VMware network access required] > Personal Information > Dependents.
Coverage Ends
Coverage for you and your dependents will end on the last day of your employment with VMware.
