Insurace Provider: Singlife Insurance (with Aviva)
Policy Period: January to December
All regular full-time employees aged below 67 (renewable up to age 70 for existing employees) are covered under Life, Accident Death & Disability and Total Permanent Disability Insurance.
The sum assured is 75% of annual salary subject to a maximum of S$180,000.
In the event of a disability for a continuous period exceeding six (6) months ‘Deferred Period’, disability benefit will be payable in accordance to the Benefit Schedule. A Disability shall be deemed to have commenced on the date on which it is certified by a Registered Medical Practitioner to be under such a Disability.
Rehabilitation or Proportionate Benefit
If you resume your occupation or engage in any occupation (whether full or part time) after the deferred period and experience loss of income, you will be entitled to a reduced monthly disability benefit
You would be automatically enrolled upon commencement of your employment at VMware.
Free Cover Limit
The policy has an Automatic Acceptance Level of S$60,000 up to age 64. Employees with salary or age above the indicated threshold will be subject to underwriting requirement basis which coverage will be determined. In such instances, Singlife will send you a notification to complete a medical examination for medical underwriting.
VMware pays 100% of the premium costs for the Group Disability income.
When Coverage Begins
Coverage will automatically commence on the first day of your employment at VMware.
When Coverage Ends
Coverage ceases on your last day of service with VMware.
