At VMware we encourage a healthy work environment. You are entitled to take Sick Leave in accordance with statutory requirements with the understanding that sick days are solely for the purpose of recuperating from an illness or injury impacting you or a dependent.
VMware will pay 80% of your entire salary from the 1st day of illness to the 14th calendar of illness.
From day fifteen (15) and onwards sickness benefits are paid out by the Social Insurance Administration. Sickness benefits are around 80% of salary up to 7.5 PBA. If the sickness period is longer than three hundred and sixty (360) days, the sickness benefit from the Social Insurance Administration can be reduced to a maximum of 64% of the salary up to 7.5 PBA.
Scheduling Sick Leave
- All Sick Leave planned or unplanned, must be discussed with your manager. If an absence is unexpected, you should notify your manager or HR Source [VMware network access required] as soon as reasonably possible.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Sick Leave time off in Workday [VMware network access required].
