VMware provides Entrepreneurial Leave in accordance with statutory requirements.
All regular employees with a minimum of six (6) months of service or a total of twelve (12) months service during the previous two (2) years have a legal right to unpaid Entrepreneurial Leave.
You are entitled to take six (6) months unpaid Entrepreneurial Leave; however, you may not compete with VMware. You are only entitled to take this leave one time as an employee of VMware. If you take less than six (6) months of Entrepreneurial Leave any remaining time is lost. You cannot take any additional time later. Entrepreneurial Leave must be taken on a full-time basis.
Scheduling Entrepreneurial Leave
Discuss your Entrepreneurial Leave plans, in advance, with your manager. While business requirements must be taken into consideration, your manager will work with you to ensure that work load does not restrict you from taking Entrepreneurial Leave.
