VMware provides Hajj Leave in accordance with statutory requirements.
For Muslim employees only, an additional period of a minimum of ten (10) days and no more than fifteen (15) days of Hajj Leave will be granted upon request. Hajj can only be performed at a specific time each Islamic calendar year. Hajj leave may only be taken once in the entire time that you are employed at VMware.
Scheduling Hajj Leave
- Discuss your Hajj Leave plans in advance with your manager and your local Human Resources team. While business requirements must be taken into consideration, your manager will work with you to ensure that workload does not restrict you from taking Hajj Leave.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Hajj Leave time off in Workday [VMware network access required] under time off type Religious Obligation Time Off (Days).
