Parental Leave

VMware provides Parental Leave in accordance with statutory requirements so that you can take the necessary time off work to care of your child.

Eligibility

The Parental leave can be taken by the mother or father – or the child’s primary caregiver.

Entitlement

The Parental Leave starts right after the end of the Pregnancy and Birth Leave and can last till the child turns 3 years (36 months).  The employee has the right to return to work at any time during the Parental Leave.

During the duration of the Parental Leave, you should apply for the relevant statutory payment that you are eligible from the state for the first 18 months of the leave.

Scheduling Parental Leave

You should notify your manager and HR Source of your plans as soon as reasonably possible, so that proper arrangements can be made prior to your leave period.

Returning to Work  

While on Parental Leave you should maintain open communication with your manager and HR Source EMEA

regarding your return to work plans.
