Gynecological Disorder Leave

VMware provides Gynecological Disorder leave in accordance with local Philippines law.

Entitlement

An employee who undergoes surgery because of a gynecological disorder is entitled to 2 months of leave following the surgery every year with full pay. This leave shall be granted to any employee who has rendered at least six (6) months continuous aggregate employment service for the last twelve (12) months prior to surgery.

Carry Forward

All unused Gynecological Disorder Leave entitlement during the Calendar Year cannot be carried forward to the following Calendar Year and shall be non-cumulative. Any Special Women’s Leave not taken by December 31st of a particular year will be automatically forfeited without compensation.

Cash Out

If the Gynecological Disorder Leave is not availed of, the leave shall not be convertible to cash.

Scheduling Gynecological Disorder Leave

You should inform your manager and the HR Source [VMware network access required] of your expected date of surgery as soon as reasonably possible. This will allow adequate time for the proper arrangements to be made prior to your leave period. If the absence was due to an emergency surgical procedure, you should inform your manager and the HR Source [VMware network access required] at your first convenience.

Returning to Work

You should present a certification from a competent physician to HR Source [VMware network access required] and confirm your return to work.
