VMware provides Life Insurance through Codan for all regular employees and fixed term contract employees on payroll. Self employed and agency workers are excluded.
If you should die, or become permanently disabled due to an accident, while in the service of VMware due to illness or injury you and/or your beneficiaries will receive a lump sum payment according to the following schedule:
Life and Disability Insurance.
The insured benefits compensate make payment in the event of death.
- Employees: 3 x salary (Minimum 20G, Maximum 80G)
- Fixed term Contract employees: 15.5G
– Compensation given for death caused by occupational injury or illness: Minimum benefit 20G and maximum benefit 80G. (Occupational injury no termination age)
Children supplement 1-6,5 G (Based on the child’s age).

When Coverage Begins
You will be automatically enrolled into the Life Insurance plan from your first date of employment.
Coverage will begin on your first day of active work as a VMware employee.
VMware pays 100% of the premium cost for the Life Insurance.
You don’t need to complete an enrolment form, you will be automatically covered from the 01st day of your employment.
When Coverage Ends
Coverage will end on the last day of your employment with VMware.
