AD&D Insurance

VMware provides AD&D Insurance through Codan for all regular employees and fixed term contract employees on payroll. Self employed and agency workers are excluded.


If you should die, or become permanently disabled due to an accident, while in the service of VMware due to illness or injury you and/or your beneficiaries will receive a lump sum payment according to the following schedule:

Accident which occur outside working hours are covered.

Covers (Medical Invalidity) –
• 8G (employee)
• 4.5G (Temporary contract employees)
– Compensation for disability resulting from other illness is paid from a minimum level of 40% disability. You must be declared permanently disabled to receive the compensation.


Salary Occupational Illness, Occupational Injury And Leisure Time Injury Other Illness
Up to and Including 7G 22G 22G
Over 7G up to and including 8G 24G 24G
Over 8G up to and including 8G 26G 26G
Over 9G up to and including 10G 28G 28G
Over 19G 30G 30G

When Coverage Begins

You will be automatically enrolled into the AD&D Insurance plan from your first date of employment.

Coverage will begin on your first day of active work as a VMware employee.


VMware pays 100% of the premium cost for your cover.


You don’t need to complete an enrolment form, you will be automatically covered from the 01st day of your employment.

When Coverage Ends

Coverage will end on the last day of your employment with VMware.
