As a VMware employee, you are covered under Life Insurance provided by MetLife. Your coverage will begin on your first day of active work as a VMware employee, and it will end the last day of your employment with VMware. VMware pays 100% of the premium costs for Life Insurance.
If you should die while in the service of VMware due to illness, or accidental death, your beneficiaries will receive a payment of 24 times your monthly base salary. Directors and above will receive 36 times monthly salary.
Your beneficiaries will also receive 20,000 MXN, as an advancement of the insured amount to cover funeral expenses.
Total or Permanent Disability, Dismemberment and Loss of Sight
If you should be declared totally or permanently disabled, or become dismembered, or lose your sight, you will receive a payment of 24 times your monthly base salary. Directors and above will receive 36 times monthly salary.

You will be required to fill the beneficiary designation form  on Day 1 during onboarding. If you wish to change or update your beneficiaries at any moment during your service with the company, please fill a new form and notify HR via a HelpNow Ticket
