Marriage Leave
Congratulations on your wedding! VMware recognizes that getting married is a very exciting time and provides Marriage Leave so you can take some additional time off to cherish your wedding.
Eligibility
All regular full-time employees are entitled paid time off per the table below:
Marriage Leave
| Wedding | Paid Leave |
|---|---|
| Your Wedding | 5 days (40 hours) |
| Your Child’s Wedding | 2 days (16 hours) |
| Your Sibling’s Wedding | 1 day (8 hours) |
| Your Spouse’s Siblings Wedding | 1 day (8 hours) |
VMware requires documentary proof in support of the leave application.
Scheduling Marriage Leave
- Discuss your Marriage Leave plans, in advance, with your manager. While business requirements must be taken into consideration, your manager will work with you to ensure that work load does not restrict you from taking Marriage Leave.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Marriage Leave in Workday[VMware network access required] under time off type Marriage (Hours).
