Life and Accidental Death & Disability
VMware provides Life Insurance via Samsung Life Insurance.
Eligibility
All regular full-time employees are covered for Life Insurance.
Benefits
In the event of death, or disability due to accidental causes, your beneficiaries would get a lump sum benefit of two (2) times your annual salary, including base salary and target bonus. The minimum benefit is 200 million KRW with the maximum benefit capping at 1 billion KRW.
Accidental Death & Disability (AD&D) Insurance Benefits
The minimum benefit for AD&D insurance is 200 million KRW with the maximum benefit capping at 1 billion KRW. Please note, disability insurance would be paid based on the disability degree ranging between 3% to 100% of benefit.
Contributions
VMware pays 100% of the premium costs for Life Insurance.
Enrollment
You will be automatically enrolled in the Life, Accidental Death, and Disability Insurance. However, it is subject to underwriting depending on your pre-existing conditions.
When Coverage Begins
Coverage will begin on the first day of your employment at VMware.
When Coverage Ends
Coverage ends on the end of your last day of service with VMware.
