Accidental Death and Disability – Dirigenti

VMware provides Accidental Death and Disability (AD&D) Insurance to Dirigenti employees through Cassa di Assistenza Sanint and from 1 January 2023 onwards, also through the Antonio Pastore Fund, as set by the National Collective, which is mandatory.

The Antonio Pastore Fund covers Accidental Death and Disability up to a Gross Annual Salary of € 150,000. Claims will be managed directly by the Fund.

Cassa di Assistenza Sanint will continue as usual, covering Accidental Death and Disability for 100% of your Gross Annual Salary. Claims will be managed, as usual, by Marsh.

An injury is defined as any event due to an accidental, violent and external cause, which provokes objectively verifiable bodily harm, causing death or permanent disability.

Eligibility

All Dirigenti employees of VMware are eligible for Accidental Death and Disability Insurance through Cassa di Assistenza Sanint and the Antonio Pastore Fund in accordance with the terms and conditions (T&Cs) of the Antonio Pastore convention in force from time to time («Convention»).

Benefits

If you should die or become permanently disabled due to an accident while in the service of VMware, you and/or your beneficiaries will receive a lump sum based on the following:

Disability is covered and will be measured according to the level of disability certified by the doctor.

Please note, there could be mismatches between the Permanent Disability assessment of the Antonio Pastore Fund coverage and Cassa di Assistenza Sanint’s one, due to them being two different coverages with difference insurers. The assessment of the Permanent Disability will be the responsibility of the insurance companies. Neither Marsh not Cassa di Assistenza Sanint may be held responsible for the various evaluations.

Enrolment

You are automatically enrolled in the Accidental Death and Disability insurance.

Contributions

VMware pays 100% of the premium costs for the Accidental Death and Disability Insurance through Cassa di Assistenza Sanint and the Antonio Pastore Fund.

When Coverage Begins

Coverage through Cassa di Assistenza Sanint will begin on your first day of active work as a VMware employee. Coverage through the Antonio Pastore Fund will begin on your first day of active work as a VMware employee, in accordance with the age limitations provided by the Convention.

When Coverage Ends

Coverage through Cassa di Assistenza Sanint and the Antonio Pastore Fund, will end on the last day of your employment with VMware.
