Miscellaneous leave
At VMware we encourage a healthy work environment. There are many reasons you may need time away. VMware provides the following types of leave and any other circumstances as provided in Law No. 13 of 2003 (“Labor Law”).
Marriage Leave
You are eligible for a marriage leave of 3 days for your own marriage and 2 days of leave in case of marriage of your child.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Time off in Workday[VMware network access required] under time off type Marriage (Days).
Circumcision Leave
You are eligible for 2 days of leave for the circumcision of your child.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Time off in Workday[VMware network access required] under time off type Miscellaneous Medical/Health (Days).
Baptism Leave
You are eligible for 2 days of leave for baptism of your child.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Time off in Workday[VMware network access required] under time off type Family Care (Days).
Spouse’s miscarriage
You are eligible for 2 days of leave in the case of your spouse’s miscarriage.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Time off in Workday[VMware network access required] under time off type Miscellaneous Medical/Health (Days).
Mensuration Leave
Employees are entitled to 2 days of Menstruation Leave per month.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Time off in Workday[VMware network access required] under time off type Miscellaneous Medical/Health (Days).
Scheduling Miscellaneous leave
- All leave requests must be discussed and approved by your manager (preferably via email). Where an employee applies to take the above-mentioned leave, or any other leave as stipulated in Law No. 13 of 2003, an employee shall, without prejudice to his/her rights, be given permission to take the above-mentioned leave.
- Once agreed with your manager, please record your Time off under respective leaves types called out above in WorkdayVMware network access required].
