Annual Leave

Annual Leave provides you with paid time off from your job that allows you to be paid while having time off from work for personal reasons including:

If your absence is due to an illness or injury, you should refer to the Sick Leave [1] page.

VMware provides all employees fifteen (15) days of Annual Leave per calendar year. If you do not work for a full calendar year, your Annual Leave will be pro-rated based on the number of months in service ÷ 12 x 15. Annual Leave must be requested in advance in writing and approved prior to taking. For new hires & leavers, your first year and last year of entitlement will be prorated accordingly.

Floating Days Off (FDO)

VMware provides five (5) Floating Days Off (FDO) per calendar year. FDOs are non-cashable, use it or lose it days of paid time off. FDOs are scheduled by VMware. VMware will schedule the FDO at the beginning of the year, and you should follow the schedule accordingly.

Annual Leave not used can be carried forward up to the number of days of statutory leave to which you are entitled. However, any carried over Annual Leave which is not used by the end of the following calendar year it was earned will be forfeited.
