Sick Leave
At VMware we encourage a healthy work environment. You are entitled to take Sick Leave in accordance with statutory requirements with the understanding that sick days are solely for recuperating from an illness or injury.
Entitlement

This will be pro-rated for new hires. If you are absent from work for more than seven (7) days, you must obtain a certificate from a doctor stating the reasons you are not fit for work and why and supply it to HR Source [VMware network access required]. If after twenty-eight (28) weeks of continuous Sick Leave, you remain on nil pay you may be eligible to claim incapacity pay from the state. If you are in receipt of income from the VMware Income Protection provider, you are not eligible to claim this State benefit.
