Family Care Leave
VMware is dedicated to work-life balance and offers a family-friendly environment that is supportive of working parents. VMware provides Family Care Leave in accordance with statutory requirements so that you can take the necessary time off work to care for a dependent.
Family Care Leave is meant for short absences that are necessary to deal with an immediate or unexpected crisis, involving a dependent, and to make longer-term arrangements for care if necessary.
Scheduling Family Care Leave
- Discuss your Family Care Leave plans in advance with your manager. If an absence is unexpected, you should notify your manager or HR Source [VMware network access required] as soon as reasonably possible. While business requirements must be taken into consideration, your manager will work with you to ensure that work load does not restrict you from taking Family Care Leave.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Family Care Leave time off in Workday [VMware network access required] under time off type Family Care Time Off (Hours).
- You may be asked to provide documentation for your leave time.
