Employees can select to buy or sell up to 3 days of annual leave in whole units of 7.5 hours via the MyLife [VMware network access required] benefits portal at open enrolment each year
All regular full time and part time employees who are employed by VMware at the point of open enrolment. New hires or employees experiencing a life event mid-year will not be able to select this benefit until open enrolment on 1st January each year. Fixed Term Contractors and Interns are ineligible for this flexible benefit
The cost of a day’s annual leave is annual basic salary as at 1st January divided by 260 and deducted from (if bought) or credited to (if sold) your gross monthly salary in equal instalments. The cost of annual leave is displayed in your MyLife [VMware network access required] portal
The enrolment window for buying or selling annual leave is 1st January each year and the choice is locked down for 12 months. For 2019 launch, the enrolment window is 1st April and you are able to buy or sell up to 3 days of annual leave for the period 1st April to 31st December and the cost will be adjusted to take into account the 9 remaining payrolls of 2019. You will not be able to make any changes until the next enrolment window 1st January.
You will need to actively re-select the benefit each year via MyLife [VMware network access required]
The benefit ends on your last day of employment with VMware. Any untaken accrued bought days will be paid back to you on a pro-rata basis to your leave date. If you have sold up to 3 days annual leave back to VMware as you have received credit for these on a monthly basis there is no adjustment due back to you.
