Tastecard is the UK’s largest diners club. VMware offers it employees the chance to purchase Tastecard Membership via the MyLife [VMware network access required] portal at open enrolment each year. As a member of Tastecard you are entitled to either 50% off the total food bill or a 2 for 1 discount across all courses from partnering restaurants. Tastecard is accepted in over 6,500 dining establishments nationwide ranging from Pizza Express, ASK Italian, Chiquito, Zizzi, Prezzo & more. All regular full time and part time employee, fixed term contractors and interns who are employed by VMware at the point of open enrolment. New hires or employees experiencing a life event mid-year will not be able to select this benefit until open enrolment on 1st April each year.
You will be able to purchase up to 7 cards (one for yourself and up to 6 as gifts) via the MyLife [VMware network access required] benefits portal. The cost of the card(s) is deducted from your net salary as a one-off deduction in April. The selection will be locked for 12 months, which means you will be unable to deselect or buy other cards within that 12 month period.
The tastecard membership is valid for 12 months and the expiry date will be printed on your membership card. You will need to actively re-select this benefit via MyLife [VMware network access required] portal if you wish to have it in subsequent years.
The expiry date is printed on your membership card. If you leave VMware prior to the expiry date you will be able to retain your membership card up until this expiry as you have fully paid for the card as part of the one-off deduction in April. No further deductions will be taken.
