VMware encourages a healthy work environment. You are entitled to take Sick Leave in accordance with statutory requirements with the understanding that sick days are solely for the purpose of recuperating from an illness or injury.
VMware provides paid Sick Leave after the completion of one (1) year of service.
After thirty (30) days of Sick Leave you may be eligible for Short-Term Disability payments.
Scheduling Sick Leave
- All Sick Leaves planned or unplanned, must be discussed with your manager. If an absence is unexpected, you should notify your manager or HR Source [VMware network access required] as soon as reasonably possible.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Sick Leave time off in Workday [VMware network access required].
- You must send the original copy of your medical certificate to your local HR within the first 48 hours of your absence, by posting it to the Paris office reception.
