Family Care Leave

VMware is dedicated to work-life balance and offers a family-friendly environment that is supportive of working parents. VMware provides Family Care Leave in accordance with statutory requirements so that you can take the necessary time off work to care for your family.

Scheduling Family Care Leave

  • Discuss your Family Care Leave plans in advance with your manager. If, for unavoidable reasons, a request could not be made in advance, you should notify your manager or HR Source [VMware network access required] as soon as reasonably possible. While business requirements must be taken into consideration, your manager will work with you to ensure that work load does not restrict you from taking Family Care Leave.
  • Provide HR Source with a document from the hospital justifying the absence before entering the time off
  • Once agreed with your manager, enter your Family Care Leave time off in Workday [VMware network access required] under time off type Family Care Time Off (Hours).
