Pilgrimage Time Off
VMware provides Hajj Leave in accordance with statutory requirements.
Employees who have been employed continuously by the Company for at least 5 years, may take up to 30 days’ paid Time Off to perform a pilgrimage to Mecca or Jerusalem. This Time Off may only be taken once during the employee’s employment with the Company.
Scheduling Pilgrimage Time Off
You should contact your manager and the HR Source EMEA team (using the contact options listed at the beginning of this Policy) to apply for and arrange for this Time Off. Any request to take this Time Off must be made as soon as possible and no less than 1 month before the intended commencement date of the period of Time Off. While business requirements must be taken into consideration when planning Time Off periods, management and staff will work together on reasonable measures to ensure that workload does not unreasonably restrict taking this Time Off.
