Employees who are called for military service (conscription, reserve, or other mandatory appearance or service before the Egyptian Military) shall be entitled to paid Time Off throughout their period of military service. In order to be eligible for this Time Off, the employee must submit the letter received from the Military, asking the employee to report to the Military, to the HR Source team (using one of the contact options listed at the beginning of this Policy) and their manager. The employee must submit their request as soon as they have received the letter from the Military.
Once your military service has ended or shortly prior to this date, you must notify VMware and confirm whether or not you wish to return to VMware. If you wish to have your employment with VMware reinstated, you must submit a written application for reinstatement by emailing the HR Source EMEA team at HRSourceEMEA@VMware.com. This written application should:
a) be made as soon as possible and no later than 30 days following the end of your military service; and
b) you must also confirm the date on which you will be available to restart work with VMware.
When calculating the length of your continuous employment with VMware, the period of absence throughout your military time off will be included.
