VMware provides a supplemental health insurance plan through Gjensidige Forsikring AS. Participation in the plan is mandatory.
All regular full-time and part-time employees and qualifying dependents, including spouse, cohabitant, and children, are eligible for the health insurance plan.
You are guaranteed surgery or an examination within a maximum of ten (10) working days, after approval by Gjensidige Forsikring AS, of a diagnosis to which cover applies. Cover is capped at DKK 3,600,000 per employee per year.
Pre-existing conditions are not excluded under the Healthcare plan. The insurance does not cover chronic diseases with the exception of musculoskeletal disorders with up to 3 treatments, if there are signs of improvements.
You are automatically enrolled in the health insurance plan. No supply of health information is required.
VMware pays 100% of the premium costs for your coverage. Please note, the premium cost for this benefit is communicated to payroll and added to your taxable income. You are responsible for the premium costs for any dependents that you wish to include in the coverage.
Coverage will begin on your first day of active work as a VMware employee.
Coverage for you and your dependents under the health insurance plan will end on the last day of your employment with VMware. The insurance can be continued privately.
