Personal Leave

VMware provides Personal Leave in accordance with statutory requirements. 

Entitlement 

Section 616 of the civil code allows you leave for personal reasons, on full pay. Personal Leave can be taken for the following reasons: 

• Relocation Leave – Two (2) days in the event of job related relocation.
• Wedding Leave – One (1) day in the event of your marriage.

Personal Leave may be scheduled separately for each occasion, with no more than ten (10) days in total per calendar year. 

Scheduling Personal Leave 

• Discuss your Personal Leave plans in advance with your manager. While business requirements must be taken into consideration, your manager will work with you to ensure that work load does not restrict you from taking Personal Leave. 
• Once agreed with your manager:
  • Enter your Relocation Leave time off in Workday [VMware network access required] under time off type Moving House Time Off (Hours).
  • Enter your Wedding Leave time off in Workday [VMware network access required] under time off type Marriage Time Off (Hours).
