Enrolling in Benefits
You may enroll or change your benefits coverage with VMware if you fall under one of the respective categories:
- New Hire, Rehire, or Transfer
- A Qualified Life Event
- Open Enrollment (Private Health and Nursing contributions only)
Eligibility
If you are a regular full or part-time employee, you are eligible to enroll in VMware benefit plans. Eligibility begins as of your start date. You can enroll in the following benefits via MyLife [VMware network access required]:
- Enroll and transfer external direct insurances to your Retirement Plan
- Apply for medical underwriting or opt out of Life Insurance and Long Term Disability benefits
- Submit private Health and Nursing documentation to claim VMware’s contribution
Each year in December you will be asked to provide your private Health and Nursing insurance documents for the following year to continue receiving VMware’s contributions. You will receive a notification when this window is open. If your Health and Nursing insurance changes, you are able to update this information via MyLife [VMware network access required] at anytime.
Changing Coverage Mid-Year
A Qualified Life Event allows you to make changes to your existing benefits, mid-year. A Qualified Life Event may include:
- Marriage or newly eligible domestic partner
- Divorce, legal separation or dissolution of domestic partnership
- Birth or adoption of a child(ren)
- Death of your spouse, domestic partner, child(ren)
To enroll or update your benefits, or report a Qualified Life Event you should do this via MyLife [VMware network access required].
