VMware provides AD&D Insurance through Metlife for all regular employees and fixed term contract employees on payroll. Self employed and agency workers are excluded.
If you should die, or become permanently disabled due to an accident, while in the service of VMware due to illness or injury you and/or your beneficiaries will receive a lump sum payment according to the following schedule:
Life insurance (in case of death due to any cause):
An assured sum equal to 24 times gross monthly salary*, max € 200k per one claim.
Accidental death insurance:
An assured sum equal to 24 times gross monthly salary*, max € 200k per one claim. Death due to car accident, aircraft crash or drowning covered.
Dismemberment due to accident (in case of permanent damage/injury of body) : % of accidental death sum insured from 0,5 % to 500 % of the sum, max € 200k per one claim.
* based on base salary for non-sales team members and based on OTE for sales team members
Beneficiary Nomination Form
If you would like to nominate beneficiaries to receive a death benefit lump sum in an event of your death, make sure you complete the Beneficiary Nomination Form and email it to the provider to the nominated email address detailed in the form as soon as your coverage begin.
When Coverage Begins
You will be automatically enrolled into the AD&D Insurance plan from your first date of employment.
Coverage will begin on your first day of active work as a VMware employee.
VMware pays 100% of the premium cost for your cover.
When Coverage Ends
Coverage will end on the last day of your employment with VMware.
