VMware provides private health insurance to eligible employees and their eligible family members.
Eligibility
All regular full-time employees and their eligible family members may be enrolled in the Healthcare Plan. Eligible family member include:
- Legal spouse or cohabitation partner under 65 years of age. To be covered, a cohabitation partner must have lived with the employee in a committed relationship for at least 1 year, and must sign the declaration of committed relationship.
- Children until their 18th birthday or until their 23rd birthday if they are full-time students.

Extend AIDS, Congenital & Hereditary Disease and Mental illness (including depression) in medical plan.
There are pre-existing conditions which may be excluded under the Plan. You will need to review the Exclusion Clauses for the relevant details.
Employees who are on temporary relocation from other VMware entities are not eligible for healthcare coverage as they are covered by the insurance specified in their relocation package.

When Coverage Begins
You are automatically enrolled in the Healthcare on your first day of active work as a VMware employee. If you wish to enroll your eligible family members, you will need to provide a completed enrollment form within 30 calendar days of your date of joining VMware via MyLife [VMware network access required]. Coverage for your eligible family members is effective from the first day of the following month after you have submitted the relevant certificates/evidence via MyLife [VMware network access required].
VMware Contribution
VMware pays 100% of the premium costs for you and your eligible family members.
When Coverage Ends
Coverage for you and your eligible family members under the VMware Healthcare plan will end on the last day of your employment with VMware.
