Leaves of Absence
VMware recognizes the occasional need to be out of the office for longer periods of time to take care of medical, family and other personal issues. A Leave of Absence is generally defined as approved time away from work for a specific reason—other than vacation or holiday. All leaves are in compliance with local, state and federal leave laws.
- California Bone Marrow/Organ Donation Leave
- Family Leave
- Medical Leave
- Military Leave
- Paid Parental Leave (PPL) Program
- Personal Leave
- Pregnancy Disability Leave
- Workers’ Compensation Leave

Please Note: VMware companies will comply with all applicable local, state and federal leave laws. This outward facing document is a brief summary only and does not provide all information regarding applicable job protection, benefits, wage replacement, and other provisions. For additional details see the applicable VMware policies. Additional leaves may be available, this list is not necessarily exhaustive, particularly as many state and local jurisdictions provide additional leave rights.
