VMware is dedicated to work-life balance and offers a family-friendly environment that is supportive of working parents. VMware provides Family Care Leave in accordance with statutory requirements so that you can take the necessary time off work to care for your sick child.
VMware provides up to three (3) days (24 hours) paid Family Care Leave to care for a sick child.
Scheduling Family Care Leave
- Discuss your Family Care Leave plans in advance with your manager. If, for unavoidable reasons, a request could not be made in advance, you should notify your manager or HR Source  [VMware network access required] as soon as reasonably possible. While business requirements must be taken into consideration, your manager will work with you to ensure that work load does not restrict you from taking Family Care Leave.
- Once agreed with your manager, enter your Family Care Leave time off in Workday  [VMware network access required] under time off type Family Care Time Off (Hours). You may record your leave in blocks of 8 hours (1 day) or 4 hours (half day).
Returning to Work
- Contact your manager to confirm your return to work date.
