Election Leave

VMware encourages you to fulfill your civic responsibilities by voting.

Entitlement

If you qualify to vote in a federal, provincial and/or municipal election, you are entitled to three (3) consecutive hours, while the polls are open, during which to vote. If hours of work do not allow for this, you will be granted enough time off, with pay, to make up the three (3) consecutive hours.

Scheduling Election Leave

• Discuss your Election Leave plans, in advance, with your manager. While business requirements must be taken into consideration, you manager will work with you to ensure that your work load does not restrict you from taking Election Leave.
