At VMware we encourage a healthy work environment. You are entitled to take Sick Leave in accordance with statutory requirements with the understanding that sick days are solely for recuperating from an illness or injury impacting you or a dependent.
You are entitled to Sick Leave for personal sickness or taking care of your sick child. In all cases, you must present a Sick Leave certificate, issued by a Medical Practitioner.
The compensation for Sick Leave shall be paid in accordance to the statutory terms. All subsequent days are paid directly by the government agency “NOI” at the rates determined by the law. By law you are not entitled to receive compensation for Sick Leave due to general disease if you have less than six (6) months social security covering the risk of general disease and maternity.
Scheduling Sick Leave
All Sick Leaves planned or unplanned, must be discussed with your manager. If an absence is unexpected, you should notify your manager or HR Source [VMware network access required] as soon as reasonably possible.
Record your Sick Leave days via Workday [VMware network access required]. A Sick Leave certificate should be provided to the accounting team on your first day of returning to work.
