Blood Donation Leave

All regular employees of VMware are entitled to two (2) paid days of leave for blood donation. One on the day of the medical check-up and donation and one additional day following the day of the donation.

Scheduling Blood Donation Leave

• Discuss your Blood Donation Leave plans in advance with your manager. While business requirements must be taken into consideration, your manager will work with you to ensure that work load does not restrict you from taking Blood Donation Leave.
• Once agreed with your manager, enter your Blood Donation Leave time off in Workday [VMware network access required] under time off type Miscellaneous Medical/Health Time Off (Days).
• You will also need to provide your local Accounting department with an official document from the medical authorities indicating the date of your blood donation.
