VMware is dedicated to work-life balance and offers a family-friendly environment that is supportive of working parents. VMware provides Maternity Leave in accordance with statutory requirements so that you can take the necessary time off work to recover and to bond with your new baby.
Female employees are entitled to pregnancy and Maternity Leave of four hundred and ten (410) days for each child, starting forty-five (45) days before the planned delivery date.
Mothers of an adopted child can use the above days of Maternity Leave, reduced by the age of the adopted child at the time of adoption.
After the first four hundred and ten (410) days expire mothers are entitled to an additional leave until the child reaches two (2) years of age, provided that the child is not attending a nursery care.
The Maternity Leave payments are paid directly from the government agency „NOI“.
Scheduling Maternity Leave
You should inform your manager and HR Source [VMware network access required] of your pregnancy as soon as reasonably possible, so that proper arrangements can be made prior to your leave period.
Returning to Work
While on Maternity Leave you should maintain open communication with your manager and HR Source [VMware network access required]. VMware will assume that you wish to return to work at the end of your Maternity Leave period however; you should contact HR Source [VMware network access required] towards the end of your scheduled Maternity Leave to confirm and arrange your return to work.
