Enrolling in Benefits
At VMware we recognize that everyone’s circumstances are different. This page explains the options available to you for benefits enrollment. You may enroll or change your benefits coverage with VMware if you fall under one of the respective categories:
- New Hire, Rehire or Transfer
- A qualified life event
If you wish to enroll, you must do so within 60 days of your start date or from the start date of the annual insurance year (23 March 2018) via MyLife [VMware network access required]. Existing employees will need to re-confirm their selection during the annual benefit selection window for the Health and Life Insurance.
Enrollments into the insurance policy will be completed once per month and coverage will become effective on the 23rd of the respective month.
If you are a regular full or part-time employee, you are eligible to enroll in VMware benefit plans through the MyLife [VMware network access required]. Eligibility begins as of your start date. VMware offers benefit coverage for you and your legal dependents. Eligible dependents include:
- Children up to the age of 18
Changing Coverage Mid-Year
A qualified life event allows you to make changes to your existing benefits. A qualified life event may include:
- Divorce, legal separation
- Birth or adoption of a child(ren) (link to Birth or Adoption page)
- Death of your spouse or domestic partner, child(ren)
- A dependent becoming eligible or ineligible for coverage
During a qualifying life event, you will have 30 days to make changes to your existing selection, please check the relevant benefit page for guidance on this or contact HR Source [VMware network access required].
