At VMware we encourage a healthy work environment. You are entitled to take Sick Leave in accordance with statutory requirements with the understanding that sick days are solely for recuperating from an illness or injury.
VMware provides paid Sick Leave for the first thirty (30) calendar days of absence. After thirty (30) calendar days of Sick Leave you may be eligible for disability payments from the Group Insurance Plan.
Scheduling Sick Leave
You should notify your manager as soon as possible that you will not be coming to work due to illness or injury. When absent due to illness, you must provide your manager and HR Source [VMware network access required] with a medical certificate within two (2) working days.
Upon your return to work, record your Sick Leave time in Workday [VMware network access required].
