VMware provides Parental Leave in accordance with statutory requirements so that you can take the necessary time off work to care of your child.
All regular employees who have a (biological or adopted) child that is below the age of eight (8) years old and have completed twelve (12) months of continuous service at least fifteen (15) months prior to the start of Parental Leave. In the case of a disability, the child can be aged up to twenty-one (21) years old.
VMware provides unpaid Parental Leave of up to four (4) months. You can receive an allowance from the Belgian social security system under certain circumstances, however the leave is unpaid by VMware.
You can also opt for part-time Parental Leave or combine full-time and part-time Parental Leave.
Scheduling Parental Leave
You should notify your manager and HR Source [VMware network access required] of your plans as soon as reasonably possible, so that proper arrangements can be made prior to your leave period.
