Long Service Leave

Long Service Leave is granted in accordance with the provisions of the various State and Territory Statutes.

Entitlement

Employees are entitled to Long Service Leave based on continuous service with VMware.  Due to the complex nature of the legislation covering Long Service Leave all Long Service Leave applications and questions should be forwarded to HR Source [VMware network access required]. Workday doesn’t currently display Long Service Leave balances. Please contact Payroll to find out what your balance is once becoming entitled to Long Service Leave.

Scheduling Long Service Leave

• Discuss your Long Service Leave plans, in advance, with your manager. While business requirements must be taken into consideration, your manager will work with you to ensure that work load does not restrict you from taking this time.
• Once agreed with your manager, enter your Long Service Leave in Workday [VMware network access required] under time off type Australia Long Service Leave Time off Plan.
