VMware provides voluntary healthcare coverage via Grand United (GU) Health.


All permanent employees (included permanent fixed term employees) are eligible up to retirement age. The plan also covers the following dependents:

  • Spouse/Partner
  • Your children up to the age of 21 or 24 if they’re registered as student dependents

Please note, contractors are not eligible.

VMware pays 100% of the premium costs based on the Rebate Tier declared by you with GU Healthcare. Gross income threshold tiers are valid until 30 June 2024.

Note: Single parents and couples (including de facto couples) are subject to family rules. For families with children, the thresholds are increased by $1, 500 for each child after the first.

  • If you are unsure which Tier you are currently on, please reach out to GU Health.  In case you select the wrong rebate tier, the balance will be corrected and payable through your tax return.

Coverage Begins

Coverage for you and your dependents under the Grand United Healthcare plan will begin from the joining date you nominate on the membership form.

When Coverage Ends

Your Health coverage ends for you and your dependents on the last day of your employment with VMware. You can opt to convert the healthcare coverage into a retail policy with the same insurer, subject to the applicable terms and conditions and your premium rates may change accordingly.
