Sick Leave

You are entitled to take sick days in accordance with statutory requirements with the understanding that sick days are solely for the purpose of recuperating from an illness or injury.

Entitlement

VMware employees are entitled to up to three (3) months of sick leave per calendar year based on a medical certificate issued by a doctor. Based on Armenian legislation, your first day of Sick Leave is unpaid, the next five (5) days are paid by VMware and the remaining days are funded by the government.

Scheduling Sick Leave

  • All Sick Leaves planned or unplanned, must be discussed with your manager. If an absence is unexpected, you should notify your manager or HR Source [VMware network access required] as soon as reasonably possible.
  • Upon your first day returning to work, you should:
    • Present your sickness certificate to the local KPartners team. To be eligible for Sick Leave, the certificate from the medical institution should be presented with the signature of the doctor and sign of the institution.
    • Enter your Sick Leave time off in Workday [VMware network access required].
