VMware provides Maternity Leave in accordance with statutory requirements so that you can take the necessary time off work to recover and to bond with your new baby.
All regular, female employees who are pregnant or have recently given birth are eligible for Maternity Leave.
You will be provided with pregnancy and Maternity Leave with your full wage being paid as follows:
- One hundred and forty (140) calendar days (seventy (70) calendar days of pregnancy, seventy (70) calendar days of delivery);
- One hundred and fifty-five (155) calendar days (seventy (70) calendar days of pregnancy, eighty-five (85) calendar days of delivery) in the event of complicated delivery;
- One hundred and eighty (180) calendar days (seventy (70) calendar days of pregnancy, one hundred and ten (110) calendar days of delivery) in the event of giving birth to more than one child.
This leave shall be calculated at once and granted to you in full. In cases of premature delivery the unused days of Maternity Leave are added to the leave for the delivery.
In addition to ordinary Maternity Leave you can take up to one (1) year unpaid Maternity Leave according to conditions stated by law.
Scheduling Maternity Leave
You should inform your Manager and HR Source [VMware network access required] of your pregnancy as soon as reasonably possible, so that proper arrangements can be made prior to your leave period.
You will also need to contact KPartners to check on any mandatory paperwork/forms required to be submitted locally for the Maternity leave to be processed.
Returning to Work
While on Maternity Leave you should maintain open communication with your manager and HR Source [VMware network access required]. VMware will assume that you wish to return to work at the end of your Maternity Leave period however, you should contact HR Source [VMware network access required] towards the end of your scheduled Maternity Leave to confirm and arrange your return to work.
