VMware provides health insurance through INGO Armenia.
All regular VMware employees and their spouse or partner plus any dependent children up to the age of 18 years are eligible for health insurance coverage.
Enrollment for New Employees
You are automatically enrolled in the health insurance plan. If you wish to enroll your eligible dependents, you will need to complete the Declaration & Dependents Enrollment  form and submit it to HR Source  [VMware network access required]. Participation in the health insurance is not mandatory – if you wish to opt out please contact HR Source.
The medical coverage includes the following:
- 24-hour Call Service / Medical Hotline
- Ambulance Service
- Cardiovascular Surgery and Neurosurgery
- Acute conditions of chronic diseases existing or diagnosed in the effective period of the policy
- Palliative supervision of Chronic Diseases
- Dental Service including newly introduced price list for dental treatments/manipulations
- Emergency Medical Evacuation and Repatriation
- General Gynecology
- Hospital Treatment and Accommodation
- Oncology (Cancerous diseases)
- Ophthalmology including specific eye check at preferred clinic
- Optics (Eyeglasses and Contact Lenses)
- Outpatient Services
- Pregnancy and Childbirth including new limit for complicated pregnancies and/or costs related to child survival
- Preventative Medical Checks

Annual Preventative Check-Ups
All insured members should contact INGO Armenia  to arrange an annual preventative check-up. The annual medical check can be completed at any of the 5 medical centers outlined in the terms and conditions.
From 2021 pre-existing dental examinations/dental mapping is no longer required and pre-existing exclusions will not apply.
There are no pre-existing condition exclusions applicable for existing insured members, who have been insured for more than 12 months. However the policy does not cover pre-existing diseases, injuries, or medical conditions for newly insured members for a period of 12 months. The 12 months waiting period will not apply for pregnancy and childbirth for all newly insured members. The existence of chronic diseases at the commencement of insurance shall not be covered under this policy, except for acute conditions of chronic diseases, surgical treatment leading to full recovery of the chronic disease (planned surgery) as well as dynamic control of chronic diseases which are not explicitly excluded under the Policy.
Making a Claim
Insured members should contact Dr. Taguhi Matevosyan at INGO Armenia , by calling their Call Center or e-mailing, to discuss coverage and to obtain pre-authorization their treatment, within a minimum of 24 hours before visiting a clinic. The reason for diagnosis or treatment should be confirmed. An exception to this would be in cases of emergency. The doctor will call back if unavailable at the time of the call or in case of a missed call.
Employees should obtain a medical document and a receipt of payment if they have paid for the treatment themselves and wish to submit a claim to INGO Armenia.
VMware pays 100% of the premium costs for you and your eligible dependents. However, employees will pay benefit tax on the paid premium, if the premium cost exceeds AMD 120,000 annually / AMD 10,000 monthly (2021 tax-free allowance).
Coverage will begin from your first day of joining. Once INGO Armenia has completed the enrollment process, they will issue you individual insurance cards.
Coverage for you and your dependents under the health insurance plan will end on the last day of your employment with VMware, or when you reach the age of retirement in accordance with RA legislation.
